In this issue we welcome Spring with new paintings by Gregory Hodge that embody the sentiments of the season. For Quick Curate, we visualise a vernissage of our Sydney Contemporary booth and we announce our forthcoming exhibition Story, Place, co-curated by Tony Albert and Jenn Ellis that explores land, ancestry, and belief within the context of Frieze London. Other highlights include a preview of paintings by Naminapu Maymuru-White, we unveil the monumental shift in Polly Borland’s art work, Marion Abraham reveals the layers of darkness and light in her paintings and we introduce you to new artist from Yirrkala, Marrnyula Munuŋgurr. Claire Jackson, discusses Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran’s ambitious upcoming exhibition, and we feature a beachside Tamarama home brought to life with art and love by Flack Studio.
Sullivan+Strumpf acknowledge the Indigenous People of this land, the traditional custodians on whose Country we work, live and learn. We pay respect to Elders, past and present, and recognise their continued connection to culture, land, waters and community.
