A special ‘in conversation’ event between two influential female leaders in Australian contemporary art. Taking an in-depth look at four decades of Lindy Lee’s extraordinary practice, this talk will focus on her incredible processes and the significant events that have shaped her career.
The talk will also reflect on the long relationship between the artist and curator, commencing with Macgregor’s first trip to Australia in 1994 and her visit to Lee’s studio in inner-city Sydney.
This is a hybrid event. Strictly limited seats are available for the event, and tickets can also be purchased to stream the talk.
For those who attend in person, this will also be an opportunity to view Lee’s spectacular new public artwork inspired by the cosmos, Secret World of a Starlight Ember (2020). On arrival at the MCA forecourt, see the work transform as the sun sets and shimmer under the moonlight as you leave.
A private link for the live stream of this event will be emailed to all ticket holders 1–2 days prior to the event.
